Some conversations should not be handled by an AI. Beverly notices those, goes quiet, and puts them in front of you.
Escalation is a feature, not a failure. An assistant that knows the edge of its own competence is worth much more than one that answers everything confidently.
| When this happens | What Beverly does |
|---|---|
| The lead asks to speak to a person | Stops texting that lead entirely and tells you, with the thread so far. |
| The conversation turns into a negotiation or a commitment | Hands it to you. Beverly does not negotiate and does not commit you to anything. |
| It reads as a legal question | Hands it to you, with the message that triggered it. |
| Anything touching money movement or wire instructions | Stops hard. This one is not a judgement call in the model, it is a rule in the code. |
| You wrote to the lead yourself | Stands down on that conversation until you hand it back. |
| The property this lead asked about has already been listed by somebody else | Stops before the first message goes, rather than opening with something embarrassing. |
When it happens you get a text and a notification with the lead's name, their number and a short read of the conversation, so you can act from your phone. There is a limit on how many times one lead can chase you, so an escalation cannot turn into an alarm.
