Getting your leads in

Beverly can only work a lead that reaches Beverly. There are several doors in, and they are not all equally open yet.

Live, with limitsWorking today, with the limits named on this page. Typing a lead in, spreadsheets, webhooks, forwarded lead alerts, a Beverly hosted page and a documented API all work today, as do direct connections to a set of CRMs that use an API key. The big name CRMs that use a sign in button are not connectable yet, and neither is a direct message on Instagram or Facebook. This page says which is which.

The fastest thing you can do on your first day is point one real source of leads at Beverly and watch what happens to the next one that arrives.

Every way a lead can reach Beverly
DoorHow it worksWhere it stands
Type one in, or paste a spreadsheetPaste or upload a file and Beverly works out which column is which, showing you the mapping before anything is imported.Live
A webhook from anythingBeverly gives you a URL. Anything that can send a web request can send a lead, including your own site and most form builders.Live
A Beverly hosted pageA link you can put anywhere. A seller asks what their home is worth, answers a few questions, and becomes a lead with their address attached.Live
Forwarded lead alertsForward or copy the lead notification emails you already get to your Beverly address. Beverly reads the name, the phone number and the source out of them.Live
A direct CRM connection using an API keyPaste your own key into a locked form, on the Leads page or right in the chat (say "connect my kvCORE"). The key never goes into a message. Follow Up Boss, Lofty, kvCORE (BoldTrail), Sierra Interactive and Brivity connect this way. Lofty, Sierra and Brivity then send new leads to Beverly by themselves; Follow Up Boss and kvCORE send them through Zapier or your forwarded lead alerts. Beverly writes notes back where the CRM allows it, and Brivity allows none.Live. Brivity has not yet been confirmed on a real account
The APIA documented endpoint and a key of your own, for anything you or your developer wants to wire up.Live. Keys are issued by us rather than self serve
A sign in button for the big name CRMsOur side is built. The vendor side needs approvals we have not finished, so the button records your interest instead of failing at their end.Not connectable yet
A direct message on Instagram or your Facebook pageSomebody messages your page and becomes a lead named from their own profile, with no phone number attached. It has its own page under Communication. In testing, and not connectable on your account
ZapierThe Beverly app is in Zapier's public directory. Open it from Leads, under Zapier, sign in with Beverly, and a Zap can send your CRM's new leads to Beverly. Beverly's lead updates and replies can go back out through a Zap too.Live
About your CRMThe goal is not to move your business into Beverly. Most agents will keep running their pipeline where they run it now, and Beverly should push what happened back into it. Where that connection does not exist yet, we would rather say so than ship a button that fails quietly.
Telling Beverly how an appointment wentAfter an appointment, tell Beverly what happened in your own words, typed or spoken: who you met, how it went, a price, a payoff, the next step. Beverly finds the person in your leads, or in Follow Up Boss when they are only there, asks only what your team's checklist still needs, one question at a time, and then shows one card with everything Beverly will write: what happened, added to the lead's Relationship so far, and the outcome on the lead, reminders for your next steps, the note, stage, tags and tasks in Follow Up Boss, and an email to the people your team chose. Nothing is written until you say yes, and nothing goes to the lead. A team can paste its own Google Form link so Beverly asks its questions instead of the short default. Writing to Follow Up Boss is your team's own choice: it stays off until the person who runs your team turns on Write my updates to my CRM in Settings, under Leads, then Appointments, and until then the card says nothing goes there. Lofty comes after Follow Up Boss.
Your team's appointment checklistThe questions Beverly asks after an appointment are in Settings, under Leads, then Appointments, grouped by the answer that opens each group, with the required ones marked. The person who runs your team can add a question, change its words, make it required or optional, move it up or down, take it off, or start over from your Google Form. The same changes work in the chat or out loud, like "add Is there an HOA to my listing checklist" or "make the price question required", and Beverly reads each change back for a yes before it is saved. Anybody on the team can ask "what's on my checklist?".
A next-step plan after every appointmentRight after you tell Beverly how an appointment or a call went, Beverly asks you one short question: should Beverly run the next-step plan for that person? The plan is picked by how it went (after a listing appointment, a buyer consultation or a call: signed, a verbal yes, thinking it over, interviewing other agents, waiting on something like a job transfer, a price gap, repairs first, selling and buying, renting instead, a cash offer, selling on their own first, not ready for months, a no show, chose someone else, not pre-approved, a lease that ends on a date, waiting for rates, relocating, booked, call back on a date, needs something first), and the question shows the first text, word for word, and when it goes. Every text and email is written from what you told Beverly about the meeting: it thanks them for their time, says back what they said, answers or offers what was left open, and the first ones never ask for another meeting. When a text cannot go from Beverly, because there is no phone number on file or you said the texts are yours, the question says so in one line. Say yes, say what to change, like "make day 2 a call", or say "just remind me" if you would rather send them yourself. Beverly sends the texts and emails herself; you make the calls, and Beverly reminds you. Each agent picks their own way: approve each one with a tap (where everyone starts), have Beverly run them on schedule, or just get reminders; and who does the texts and the emails ("you do the texts, I'll make the calls"). If you do not answer in ten minutes, Beverly sends one push, and it opens the person's record, where the plan waits with Activate, Pause and Cancel, and every step with its words, each text and email editable there before it goes. If they write back, the plan pauses and Beverly answers them as usual; a booked appointment, a signature or an opt-out ends it. The plans are in Settings, under Leads, then Appointments, and can be changed there or by telling Beverly, like "for interviewing other agents, add a call on day 2". With Write my updates to my CRM on, your own steps also become tasks in Follow Up Boss; Lofty is not there yet.
There is no website widgetWe do not have a snippet you drop into your own site to capture leads. What we have is the webhook and the hosted page above, which cover the same ground with more setup and less magic.
Walkthrough coming
Pointing a real lead source at Beverly

From nothing connected to a live lead being answered, without touching a settings page twice. Planned length: 2 minutes. We would rather leave the space marked than fill it with something staged, so this is a slot and not a video yet.
