Asking about a file

There is no screen for questions about a deal. You ask in the conversation, by name or across the whole book, and the answer comes back with what it was read from.

It is on this site because it is close, not because it is available. Questions are read only. Beverly answers from the file and, where the answer implies a message, hands back a draft rather than sending one.

Beverly reads the file, not a summary of it: the contract, the dates, the documents that arrived and the messages on the thread. So the question you would have asked a coordinator is the question you type, and if Beverly cannot find the answer in the file, Beverly says that rather than filling the gap.

What is blocking my closings?	The files with something in the way, across the whole book rather than one at a time.
What documents are still missing on 4820 Bluebonnet?	What the file expects, what has arrived, and what has not.

Why there is no separate screen for thisThere used to be one, and we removed it in August 2026 for the same reason the rest of the product is built the way it is: if you have to go somewhere to ask, we count the feature as half built. The transactions screen is still there for looking at a file in detail. It is not where you go to ask a question about one.

What an answer will not doAn answer is a read. It does not move a date, mark a task done, or contact anybody. Where the honest answer is a message to a party, Beverly writes the draft and it waits for you, exactly as it does everywhere else on a file.
